Finally, the day has come and has already ended with so much fun and excitement. My little baby who likes to sleep on her tummy has just turned 1 last week. A celebration with family and friends is a must! And feedback will be provided to help others in throwing a birthday bash for their little kiddos.
It turned out well though there are a few glitches from my chosen suppliers. A not-so-perfect experience is truly appreciated for it will help you decide on who to stick with and who to mark with a big X on the list of your suppliers.
Here are my ratings and feedback on the suppliers we got for Bamba’s 1st birthday:
Venue/Food/Host: KFC Liberty Park, Shaw Blvd
Ratings: ★★★★ out of 5 stars
Aside from the so-good chicken, we got a good deal from KFC for the Fully Loaded Meal Package was only P111. They extended the promo until June 25. However, some of the brownies and mashed potato were not served right away to my guests. Some of them did not have any drinks too, but they were able to compensate and gave us A LOT of brownies. We were able to take home 2 fully loaded meals and 10 brownies. The party host is very accommodating, speaks English (a little), and knows how to caught everyone’s attention. She used the “bring me” game for the kids to bring their parents and have them join the game. Clever idea. :)
Balloon Decor: Smile Party Events and Balloon Decor

Reasonable personalized packages are one of the things I like about this supplier. Joanne is very professional and knows how to work around on your needs and budget. I did not pay any extra fees for the sculptured pillars they made. You can check out the decors here. Here are some of the shots taken by Joanne:

Souvenirs: Mini Stools from Handicrafts Atbp
Ratings: ★★★★★ out of 5 stars
It was surely a hit among the kids and kids-at-heart! Naglahong parang bula ang mga mini stools! It was supposed to be given to the kids but some of the adults asked me if they can get one. Since there were only 10 kids who attended Bamba’s party, some of them were able to take home 2 stools. I already posted a picture of the mini stools but here’s a photo of me giving away these fab goodies. (Picture was taken by my friend’s partner):

The kids were wearing their cutest costumes. SM Gift Cards were given to 5 kids.
Cake: Shery Ann Eusebio
Ratings: ★★★★★ out of 5 stars
Superb! I will definitely order more and more and more cakes from her! I know she will execute it very well since the day I saw her creations. Her baking skills are magnificent! You should check out her Facebook page. The moist chocolate cake was so yummy I even go to the kitchen and take a bite before I go to sleep. Here’s a picture of the cake with the cupcakes and other goodies (Picture was taken by my friend’s partner).

The cupcakes were actually a gift from one of Bamba’s godparent. He asked his niece to make YGG cupcakes. You might want to check out Mika’s page here. It was supposed to be given to Bamba’s godparents only. Unfortunately, me, Daddy Cjay, and my parents were not able to taste one. According to one of my good friends, the cupcakes were good too.
Photo and Video Services: Obscura X
Ratings: ★★★★★ out of 5 stars
I asked them to take their lunch early for I know they won’t have time to eat. But the crew gave their meals so late, they just decided to take pictures of the party while the room was being set up. Quincy, Kevin, and Jason are so friendly and very patient. They have very affordable photo-video packages which includes a 16”x12” blow up picture with frame and printouts. I was surprised that they uploaded 5 teaser photos after Bamba’s party. It made me more than excited to grab the pictures they took! Here are some of the pics:

Happy Family!

Pink Zara Shoes from TootoozAnd Shooz

Foofa costume for the birthday celebrant

Mini choco lentils from Chocolate Lovers
Most of the parties I have attended had a few glitches which we do not have control over. In our party, it was not-so-perfect experience but the feeling was more than ecstatic. I had misunderstanding with these people but I am hoping this would help them improve their services.
Cake Pops: Party Sisters Enterprise
Ratings: ★★★ out of 5 stars
Unluckily, I was disappointed about the cake pop stand they promised to provide for free. On the day of the party, they were asking me to pay P250 for that stand. It was actually written on the description of the album in their Facebook page that if you will avail customized cake pops, the stand is FREE of charge. When I checked their page today, the description on the album was unfortunately modified but I do have a screen capture to give them proof. I am unsure if I will do business with them again in the future because of this issue. And they delivered the cake pops 45 minutes late. Nevertheless, its taste was good.
Photo booth: Starmark
Ratings: ★★ out of 5 stars
The attendants were not friendly. At first, they looked like gate-crashers for me as they just went upstairs and did not introduce themselves. If I did not see the photo booth box, I will literally ask them to leave. Some of my relatives were not able to take a picture from the photo booth because they closed at exactly 4:00PM. They should have at least asked me to extend for I will definitely pay for the fee! They actually have stop time but I was not able to give them the signal because my mind was so preoccupied and several things were happening at the same time. I will certainly look for other photo booth supplier for my next party. Matabil pa ang bibig ng isang attendant nila kaya nagalit si Daddy Cjay pati mommy ko. Here’s a picture of us from the photo booth.

The brightness of the actual picture was too high. They used sunlight that’s why the pictures were not that lively for me. Good thing about this photo booth is the free standees. That’s all.
When the host asked me to give a speech/wish for Bamba, I faced my family and friends like a coy preschool girl though I have known them for several years. Perhaps, it was because I got teary-eyed when we were singing Happy Birthday. I felt like a stage mother for almost 6 months of planning and organizing this birthday. But I am proud of myself because every DIY-ed stuff, from tumblers to lentils, were appreciated by my guests. I even heard from one of my friends who participated in the Foofa-hoop game and said ”Para sa tumblers, para sa tumblers! Kailangan nating galingan para sa tumblers!” LOL!
And I am truly grateful to see their smiling faces, especially the kids, before and after the party. Til Bamba’s next party! :)
